Linda has been dancing Ceroc for over 30 years and was in fact the first ever NZ Ceroc Champion in 1993. More relevant is Linda still competes today and was recently placed 2nd in Champions DWAS in Christchurch 2022. Linda hails from a successful background as a teenage NZ National Ballroom Champion, she went on to own the Ceroc franchise in Taupo and train several Ceroc champions from Beginner to Advanced level. She loves to help others become better dancers, through workshops and private lessons. She has won and placed many times in Advanced & Champions DWAS, Advanced Open, Showcase, Battle of the Sexes etc.

Peter grew up terrified of dancing. The only time anyone could get him on the dancefloor was to drag him (kicking and screaming arrhythmically) from the sidelines. Once on the floor, the group would kindly show him how to do ‘big fish, little fish, put it in a box’ or the ‘shopping trolley’. Two minutes later, he would be back on the bleachers. Despite this lack of confidence, he really wanted to be able to dance. He started Modern Jive in 2014 and was immediately addicted. He joined the competition circuit and practiced voraciously. Just 3 years later, he did his first level 4 spotlight (albeit nervously). He enjoys a challenge and likes seeing people try new things on the dance floor.

Linda and Peter are running a workshop on the subject of creating contrast in your dancing.
